How much does a chain link fence cost?
Chain link is the least expensive fence we install by a wide margin, which is why it is the usual answer for enclosing a large property. What your job costs depends on the length, the height, the gates, and whether an old fence has to come out first. It gets priced on the property.
How long does a chain link fence last?
Twenty years or more, and often longer on a run that is not taking constant impact. The part that usually needs attention first is the gate, because it is the only moving assembly on the fence.
Can you make a chain link fence private?
Partly. Slats woven through the mesh get you to roughly seventy-five to ninety percent coverage, which breaks up sight lines without being the solid wall a cedar or vinyl fence gives you. They can go in later, so the decision does not have to be made now.
Will chain link keep my dog in the yard?
For most dogs, yes. Diggers need the bottom secured and climbers need height rather than mesh. Tell the estimator which one you have and the fence gets built for it.
Does chain link rust in this climate?
Galvanized mesh resists it well. Where rust does appear it is usually at a cut end, or a spot where the coating was scuffed during installation rather than a failure of the mesh itself.
